Project : Howard Clock
Location : Waltham, Massachusetts
Description : The Howard Clock Building is located near the Charles River and Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. The original four-story brick and wood structure was built in the late 1800s and was the headquarters for the Howard Clock Company. The project involved the complete renovation of the existing building and the addition of a four-story building connected by walkways and four-story atriums for the sole tenant, Decision Resources. Portions of the existing building were demolished to allow for the addition. The addition is constructed of structural steel with composite metal deck flooring, brick masonry and glass veneer. Renovation of the existing building included new windows, brick restoration, floor surfaces and MEP. The building features exposed brick walls in the existing building, four-story atriums with skylights, showers, exercise room and cafeteria. The original tower clock was replaced and relocated to the reception area.
